Saturday Night at the Movies

Well, what a night! Saturday saw the culmination of two years of work by an incredibly talented group of cast and crew, who have given their all to make this dream a reality. The world premiere of The Suppression of Hannah Stevenson saw the glitz and glamour of Hollywood brought to the Everyman Theatre in Bristol, with everyone dressed up to the nines to celebrate this wonderful achievement.

The evening began with a red carpet photograph opportunity for the stars of our film, as well as those whose jobs have, for so long, kept then behind the camera. (pictured below: Director of Photography Isabel Greenslade and Makeup Artist Eleanor Hills finally get an opportunity to share the limelight the film's female leads.)

After an introduction from the evening’s compere, Joshua Davey (pictured top-centre with actor Edward Gist), the moment finally arrived for the big screen debut of the film itself, which was received with rapturous applause.

After the screening, Jason Parker then joined Josh in adding his directorial thanks to everyone involved, as well as giving out some very personal awards.

  • Tom Hogan - The Linchpin Award

  • Hannah Rose - The Trooper Award

  • Edward Gist - The Method Award

  • Joshua Davey - The Transformation Award

  • Charlotte McEvoy - The Wicked Award

  • Zuzana Spacirova - The One Take Wonder Award

  • Marine Laurencelle - The Professional Award

The whole evening was then rounded up by thanking the entire cast and crew, as well as all those that donated to film's production budget, before group photographs outside the historic movie theatre, which held the evenings festivities.

We would like to thank the evening’s sponsors, Alpine Grove Touring Park and Intimate Torment, for helping us to honour the contributions of this dedicated and gifted group of people in such style!
